Week 6 - Task 2 : How stuff works : Discovery Channel : Cheesemaker


* Discoverty Channel : Cheesemaker







* Summary :)


1. Touch the cheese whether the cheese is staind or not.

2. Cut the cheese using cheese nives.

3. Slide the glace. The first part is cutted cheese and last part is almost milks.

4. Seperate liquid , milk and cheese. The most imfortant thing is temporater at 102 degree.

5. Transefer another filter. After 4 hours 11minutes 23seconds, we finally has sample cheese.

6. Crush the lumped cheese with the hands.

7. For a long time, shake the cheese and add the salt.



* My Opinion :)


It too hard to make cheese. However, If I make cheese by myself, It's so unsual experience. Additionally, it will be better delicious cheese than others. In my country, I often eat cheese, but I eat cheese more while I live in the U.S. I was so suprized when I see the various cheese in the refrigerator at markets. I also like cheese and like to make some food with cheese. I think that American usually like to eat food contained cheese such as hamburgeres, sandwiches and pizzas. If I eat a lot of cheese, I will be a obesity person. Moreover, I will get high cholesterol and be cause a serious problem like a heart attack. If I control to eat cheese, I could get a great nutriment. After I saw the video, I want to make the cheese by myself.



* Vocaburary :)


- Stain (Verb) : If a liquid stains something, the thing becomes coloured or marked by the liquid.


- Crush (Verb) : To crush something means to press it very hard so that its shape is destroyed or so that it breakts into pieces.


- Glace (Noun) : Glace fruits are fruits that have been preserved in a thick sugary syrup and then dried.

Week 6 - Task 1 : Funny Australian guy explaining long term memory and 4 way to help long term retrieval.

A) Funny Australian guy explianing long term memory.



* Summary

Long term memory is a giant store like a file in computers.

There is two types memory.

1. Procedural memory is a doing something such as baking a cake.

2. Declarative memory is episodic memory from a album to memory.

- Episodic memory : recall pesonal experiences from past.

- Semantic memory : sotores factsand organized information. It contains rules.



B) 4 Ways to help long term retrieval.




* Summary

1. Repeat, recite, review : First, the teacher and students say together. Then, they say by their selves. They can remember that by the repeat.

2. Distribution practice: The part is that divide whole part, so we will know that in order.

3. Serial - positions effect : The part helps to remember continually.

4. Similarities & Differences : It's better to remember somethings when we copare and contrast than before.



* Opinions


These video are helpful to remember because It can be applied from my situations. I also use the ways to remember taking lessons. I think, it should be training several times, it does not learn just one time. Then, I agree that the episodic memory is useful than others. Pesonal experiences are usually linger long in our life. If I was fece new things, it's hard to remember that. However, If I recall and relate old things with new things, it will be combined each other, so we could remember easily. My own notetaking practice is not special which is simillar with 4 ways to help long term retrieval. I like to sit front of a plafform because I could contrate much. Also I like to ask something what I didn't understand after class. After that, I take a memo, and I try to fine the fact in my home. This way is help to remember for a long time, so I can recall the memory when I take a test about that.

- Procedural (adjective) : involving a formal procedure.

- Recite (Verb) : perform, deliver, repeat, delaim.

- Distribution (Noun) : delivery, mailing, transportation, handling.

Week 5 - Task 2 : Movie



* 21 - Twenty One ! : D



"Winner Winner Chicken Denner!"

This movie is the MIT student story who take a gambling in Vegas. Ven will graduate MIT and entrance into HARVARD who is also a genius of methmetic. The miki proffesor want to him for enterning his black jack team. Ven needs to $30million to enter HARVARD, so he can't reject his proposal. The Miki knows the bline of black jack who is a reader of the team. He selects genuis in MIT. Also, he train the people for wining games which is the seceret records and counting skills. The skills can predict the card which receive next time and predict their the percentage of victories. Moreover, they disguise themselves and make a fake ID. On every weekend, they learn a lot of money from black jack game. However, one casino's worker who controls the card counting skill, senses thiers skill, so he checks a vedio that record a face. At next times, Ven is arrested by worker in the casino and was striken, and gets a deal with the worker. He cheats Miki because the professor also cheats him about money. Miki acually doesn't do anything, and he just gets a money for his students. Finally, Vet brings Miki to casino worker, and he will not play black jack again.



* My opinion :D


Ven gets a lot of money and enjoys the driking from games, but he actually doesn't get happiness. When he lost a lot of money for an entrance fee, he lost his friends also because he forgets a lot of promises with friends, so they will fail the contest. They were one team with Ven, but they don't want to join with him. Finally, when Ven come back school, his friends attend the lobots contest and get a prize without him. Also, he realizes about money. When he gets tens of thousands dollars, he can buy many things such as a expansive shoes, bags and neck ling for his girlfriend. However, he finally lose important thins than before. I also want to get a lot of money from lotteries of games. It's cearlly true that money is necessary to live and to enjoy, but it is not the whole to me and it will sometimes be sweet posion, so I realize that I have to keep the most imfortant things such as family and friends. I like to learn something through a seeing movies.

* Vocaburary :)

- Proposal (Noun) : is a plan of an idea. (suggestion, planm programmen, scheme)
- Blind (Verb) : if something blinds you to the real situation, it prevents you from realizing that it exists or from understanding it properly. (unaware of, unconscious of, iggnorant of)
- Disguise (Verb) : means to hide it or make it appear different so that people will not know about it or will not recognize it. (hide, cover, conceal, screen, mask)
